On this occasion I fitted large rectangular tiles, which I think go really well in large and square bathrooms. If you have a narrow/galley bathroom I would probably suggest a square tile.
Before fitting I had to lay plywood to make the floor more sound and to reduce the amount of movement.
For this job I also had to cut around the toilet and sink pedistals, which is possible with ceramic and some porcelain tiles, but if you’re considering a natural stone option then the toilet and sink pedistals would need to be removed.
